What eco-friendly steam cleaning means
"Steam cleaning" usually means hot-water extraction: hot water and a cleaning solution are rinsed through the carpet and immediately vacuumed back out. Done carefully, it relies on heat, agitation and rinsing rather than heavy chemical use.

How hot-water extraction works
